At Big Bend Barkfest, a committed group of dedicated animal lovers will work for many months to bring this festival to life. We host it to celebrate not only the human relationship with dogs but also to help other dogs who are in desperate need. There are so, so many sad faces in shelters and rescue organizations around the area whose hope for a home is diminished because of a medical condition that serves as “baggage” when trying to find a suitable home. We want to address these needs by providing them with care, vaccines, heartworm preventatives, wormers, medications for bacterial and parasitic infections, as well as pain relief.
With your support, a giant step forward is about to be made. I want you to know that our gift committee will pinch every dollar that you can donate to these animals to make sure it touches as many lives as possible.
